SAKE BURO (Sake bath)
Do-in is a health method to stimulate "tsubo" (vital points
for the flow of Ki along the body's meridians). Usually it requires
movements accompanied by breathing. However, the sake bath is a key
Do-in technique that requires nothing more than taking a daily hot bath
with sake added - you just let the sake and the natural pressure of
the water do the work to stimulate internal organs. Sake helps the heat
of the water penetrate into the body. Benefits include facilitating
the absorption of healthy Ki, cleansing the pores and softening the
skin. A special form of powdered sake is available for those who travel
or cannot readily obtain large quantities of sake.

* Please note that people with
high blood pressure, certain skin diseases, asthma, rheumatism, paralysis,
and diabetes should consult with Nihon Dokan staff or their doctor before
taking a sake bath. Some herbs can also be added to the bath with good effect.
